TRENTON - Trenton police say a man in his mid-40s may have been set on fire in East Trenton on Tuesday night. Police say they are trying to figure out if the man lit the flames himself or if someone else set him on fire.

Officials say three men were spotted running from the scene.

Police say the victim, Robert Lee Scott, is known to hang out in the area of E. State Street and N. Olden Avenue.

Police have confirmed that Scott has a history of mental issues. Witnesses reported that he was seen drinking Tuesday night and may have passed out.

Officials say Scott was taken to the Helene Fold Trauma Center. He suffered third degrees burns to his leg.
