TRENTON - Commuters who use the Trenton-Mercer Airport may no longer enjoy free parking at the local airfield.

A plan, which will go before a public hearing Thursday night, would charge drivers $2 an hour for short-term parking, and between $4 and $10 a day.

Parking is currently free at the airport, but many people who spoke to News 12 New Jersey were surprised to learn there were commercial flights available there.

Frontier Airlines, the airport's only commercial carrier, is currently providing flights as the runway is expanded and renovations are performed to the terminal and parking lots.
