TRENTON - Today was to be Trenton Mayor Tony Mack's first "ask the mayor" meeting since his formal indictment on bribery charges by a federal grand jury last week.

But at the last minute, plans changed, and the press was told to stay out.

This was the third week in a month that Mack was scheduled to hold a public hearing in his City Hall office. After weeks of the hearings, the newly indicted mayor decided it would be better to handle the meetings privately.

Officials within the mayor's administration are not saying why the last minute decision was made.

Many Trenton residents are disappointed with the decision and say they want the meetings done publicly and on the record.
