TRENTON - The mayor of Trenton appeared in federal court today for an arraignment on bribery, extortion and fraud charges. He pleaded not guilty.

Mayor Tony Mack was arrested in September and indicted this month.
Authorities say he was involved in a scheme to accept $119,000 in bribes to push the development of a parking garage on city-owned land.

Mack's brother and another man are also charged. All their lawyers have said they are not guilty.

Mack has stayed on as mayor despite calls from the Trenton City Council and Gov. Chris Christie for him to resign.
