TRENTON - The City of Trenton is losing one of its biggest money-makers as the Trenton Devils announce it is shutting down.

Some local business owners say they chose their locations in Trenton based on the proximity to the minor-league hockey team. T.C. Nelson says that he picked South Broad Street for his restaurant because it's right next to the Sun National Bank Center and its biggest tenant.

Representatives from the Sun National Bank Center told News 12 New Jersey they are working with the county and the league on future options for the arena. The announcement comes just days after the Devils upcoming season schedule was announced, but season ticket holders will get their money back.
