EDISON - As harsh winter weather has bled into March, many New Jersey residents are looking for a way to escape winter’s grasp.

Hundreds attended the annual travel expo in Edison Sunday to book a getaway on the spot.

Travel agents say they have seen a steady rise in residents booking vacations to gentler climates.

Agents say most travelers focus on spring break and summertime vacations this time of year, but they have noticed an increase in late March trips.
