HAZLET - North Jersey Coast Line riders faced delays this morning after a train struck and killed a man.

The unidentified man was struck on the tracks near Beers Street in Hazlet, according to an NJ Transit spokesperson. Authorities are still investigating the death.

Riders experienced up to an hour delays heading into New York and outbound from Matawan to Long Branch due to the accident investigation.

Officials have not released the identity of the victim.
