PLUMSTED TOWNSHIP - The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in South Jersey.

One of the areas hardest hit by Thursday night's storm was Plumsted Township. Downed trees and shingles are among the debris left in the storm's wake.

Those who work for tree service companies seem to be the only people with smiles on their faces over Thursday's storm. Eyewitnesses say the sky turned a greenish blue, and the wind blew in a way they had never seen before. Many tell News 12 New Jersey that they're overwhelmed by the cleanup, especially since rain passed through Plumsted along with the tornado.
