TRENTON - Senate President Steve Sweeney is siding with Gov. Chris Christie in his criticism of Republicans in Congress over the Sandy recovery aid holdup.

Sweeney thanked the governor, and told News 12 New Jersey that it's time lawmakers came up with new ideas to help struggling Sandy victims to get back on their feet.

The U.S. House of Representatives will hold a vote tomorrow on the first part of the Sandy recovery money. House Speaker John Boehner promises a vote on the remaining part on Jan. 15.
