Toms River resident's water bill credited after water tinted green

CHADWICK ISLAND - Chadwick Island resident Ed Lefebvre's water bill will be credited for the two times he has needed to refill his pool, due to a green tint in the water.

Lefebvre called the New Jersey American Water Company after the water came out green when he was trying to fill up his pool. An official said that Lefebrve's tube was to blame.

When the water came out green the second time, the company sent a technician out to take samples. The water company said the test result came back and showed an excess of iron.

Lefebvre says he isn't the only one that has had the problem, saying people scattered around the island have had the same problem.
