JERSEY CITY - Police say a toddler was injured in a shooting in Jersey City Saturday.

The incident happened at the corner of Bergen and Harrison avenues around 2:30 p.m.

Authorities believe the shooter missed the intended target, injuring 18-month-old Mina Beshay instead.

Beshay was in his parents' parked car when the gunshot shattered a window.

The boy had surgery to remove a piece of a bullet and glass from his face.

His family says he should fully recover.

Police say they are still searching for the shooter.
