EDISON - Mother Nature is set to play a cruel joke on the Garden State this April Fool's Day.

News 12 New Jersey meteorologist James Gregorio says another round of snow is expected to hit New Jersey later this week.

The two-part storm system is expected to move in tonight with some mixed precipitation across parts of the state.

Gregorio says the second, more potent round is expected to push in late Thursday night which could bring some significant snow accumulation to the northern part of New Jersey.

A winter storm watch is in place for Passaic and western Bergen, Essex and Union counties.
