TINTON FALLS - Some senior citizens in Tinton Falls are knitting for a good cause.

The Baby Blankie Makers have put the finishing touches on more than four dozen handmade blankets for needy children. The 20 knitters are all residents at the Seabrook senior living community.

The group's founder says it takes great joy in being able to help keep babies warm for the winter. The blankets will be issued by two nonprofit groups - Interfaith Neighbors and Hispanic Affairs.
