TRENTON - Two 19-year-olds were shot and killed in Trenton this past week, according to police.

Police say Tierra Green was shot while standing outside an apartment complex on West State Street last night. Witnesses say a car drove by and someone inside started shooting into a crowd.

Two others were wounded in the shooting.

Green’s relatives told News 12 that she had just graduated from Rubino Academy in Ewing.

Earlier in the week, authorities say Rayshaun Ransom was shot and killed while he was reportedly sitting in a car on Passaic Street. He was shot once in the head and in the chest on Thursday night.

Trenton Councilwoman Kathy McBride has called on Gov. Chris Christie to step up funding for more policing in the city. She saying there has been an uptick in Trenton’s violent crime since 108 police officers were laid off in 2011.

Police have not made any arrests in either case.
