OLD BRIDGE - Law enforcement officials are searching for the person responsible for shooting a pregnant cat with arrows.

A spokesperson for the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says that the cat was found in Old Bridge two weeks ago suffering from injuries. The injuries were so severe that the cat had to be put down. 

Officials believe the person responsible used a crossbow.

Anyone who might have any information about the incident is asked to contact the NJSPCA.
