Suspect nabbed in Roselle Park burglaries

ROSELLE PARK - Police have made an arrest in connection with three burglaries at the Woodside Gardens apartment complex that occurred over the last month.

Pawel Sosnowski was arrested Thursday and charged.

Among the victims was an 83-year-old woman whose husband?s World War II medals were stolen. Police say they found some of the items reported missing in Sosnowski's possession and at area pawn shops.

Resident Leslie Colon says she hadn?t heard about the burglaries but was not surprised because security at the complex is lacking.

Police are continuing to search for the stolen items. Meanwhile, the son of the elderly woman robbed says his mother will not return to the apartments.
