NORTH BERGEN - Neighbors on a North Bergen street woke up Monday morning to find vehicles with flat tires all over their street.

Seven vehicles were struck on 78th Street at around 1:30 a.m. Residents say they are surprised that it happened in their part of town.

"Nothing like this happened before," says George Williams. "Little things here and there, but not like this."

Video from a security camera shows a man walking up the street, crouching behind one car  where two tires were slashed and then walking away.
Police believe the vandalism is criminal mischief and that the owners of the vehicles were not specifically targeted.

Detectives are looking at several videos from neighborhood cameras to identify whoever caused the inconvenience and expense for the owners of the cars.

Police say they have a potential suspect, and they hope to make an arrest by tomorrow.
