TOMS RIVER - A Bayville woman is accused of driving drunk after allegedly passing out in a home where she was baby-sitting.

Toms River police say Susan Porfido-Gibson was working Friday at a home on Benjamin Street after being hired through the online service Care.com. A mother left her son with Gibson, but less than three hours later at around 10 a.m., the mother reportedly came home to find the nanny passed out on the floor.

Police say Gibson then ran out of the house, sped off and crashed her car. Ruth Majewski, who was nearly hit by Gibson, took photos at the scene. She admits the car did not seem to be going too fast, but says it was fast enough to cause major damage.

Toms River police say three empty bottles of alcohol were found in the car after the crash.

Care.com says on its site that it checks certain information members provide against databases and sources for criminal or inappropriate activity. It also says it does not verify the accuracy of information that members post, and asks parents to be vigilant.

A search of the site did not produce a profile for Gibson, but a LinkedIn page says "Susan Porfido" is a substance abuse counselor at Ocean Monmouth Care.
