'Survivor' winner Officer Tony Vlachos honored in Jersey City
JERSEY CITY - Officer Tony Vlachos is a true "Survivor." He took home the $1 million prize in the latest season of the hit show.
The Jersey City officer was lauded by politicians and fellow officers at an event Friday.
Vlachos credited his victory to his police training. "As far as the lying and deceiving and backstabbing and being disloyal to the rest of the opponents, I mean that's part of the game," he says. "That just came solely from adapting and that's what we do as Jersey City police officers. We adapt and we overcome. "
