PATERSON - A Paterson synagogue is hoping surveillance video will help catch the man who stole copper piping from the building, causing thousands in damage.
Neftali Martinez says copper piping was torn out of the air conditioning units at Templo Shalom on August 4, causing up to $10,000 worth of damage.
The temple has been vandalized three times since July 24, the temple says.

Security cameras were initially installed after anti-Semitic attacks on the synagogue. Martinez says that is not the case this time, but he is now forced to add fencing and razor wire on the walls.
He hopes that if anyone recognizes the man in the video or saw something the day of the most recent incident, that they will call police. Martinez said he notified the authorities himself.
He added that in addition to thousands of dollars in damage, the fencing and razor wire that needs to be installed will also cost the congregation.
