Supermarket damaged by Sandy reopens (7/12/13)

SOUTH AMBOY - A supermarket that was shut down by Superstorm Sandy has finally reopened.

The new Key Food Supermarket opened today on Bordentown Avenue in South Amboy. People living in the area say they've had to travel to Hazlet to shop for groceries since the storm. They say they're happy to have a supermarket in town again.

However, not everyone was happy about the new store. The United Food & Commercial Workers Union was picketing outside the shop today. They were informing the public that the store was a non-union supermarket and were asking the public to patronize other area union stores.
