Sunoco gas station clerk fends off baseball bat attack in Englewood

Police in Englewood are looking for a man who brutally beat a gas station attendant at an Englewood Sunoco.

Surveillance cameras captured the suspect just before 6 a.m. Monday at the station on Route 4.

ENGLEWOOD - Police in Englewood are looking for a man who brutally beat a gas station attendant at an Englewood Sunoco.
     
Surveillance cameras captured the suspect just before 6 a.m. Monday at the station on Route 4.

The owner says the suspect asked the attendant for help opening the bathroom door.

Once outside, she says the man beat the attendant with a baseball bat.

The attendant wrestled the bat away, and the suspect fled. The victim was taken to the hospital with head injuries.
