LONG BRANCH - Heavy winds have taken over the Shore, pushing water onto land.

Precipitation petered off throughout the day, but agressive winds are pushing waves into swells reaching 8-12 feet. There has not been any substantial beach erosion, but that could potentially change with high tide.

Sustained winds were between 25 to 30 mph Wednesday evening, with gusts reaching about 35 mph.
