EAST BRUNSWICK - Police are investigating a string of car break-ins that struck a quiet street in East Brunswick overnight. Investigators say several cars were targeted by thieves on Northfield Avenue. Kyle Tayor, one of the victims, says he came outside at 5:30 a.m. to find the door on his Ford Expedition wide open. He says he wallet was gone, and when it was later found tossed in the street, it had been stripped of his cash and credit cards. Another neighbor says her BMW was locked, but the thieves got in anyway and stole her spare change. Police are urging residents to make sure to remove all valuables from their vehicles and to keep them locked.
