EDISON - Hundreds of people are without power this morning after strong storms moved through central and northern New Jersey last night.

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) is reporting about 1,300 scattered outages throughout the state. Crews are working to restore service to those without power.

Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) says about 900 customers, mainly in Bergen County, are without power. PSE&G expects to restore power to those affected today.

Orange and Rockland Power officials say crews are working to restore power to 90 customers in West Milford.

The fast-moving storms brought strong, gusty winds and heavy rain that downed trees and power lines across the state.
