EDGEWATER - The severe storms that ripped through parts of New Jersey also wreaked havoc on a number of roadways.
In Edgewater, the heavy rain caused mud to slide off the hillside onto River Road. Crews were called in to clean up the area.
The rain also made for problems in nearby Cliffside Park. The heavy rain caused part of Gorge Road near the intersection of Adolphus Avenue to buckle and a manhole cover to pop. The area was blocked off while crews worked on repairs.
The good news is that better weather is on tap later in the week.
