Storms cause flooding in Bergen County

HILLSDALE - A new round of storms yesterday caused street and stream flooding in portions of Bergen County, including Hillsdale, Ridgewood and Saddle River.

Many of the area's rivers and streams are near their banks after storms dumped as much as 4 inches of rain over the region.

News 12 New Jersey meteorologist James Gregorio says thunderstorms are possible in northern parts of the state today. The storms could bring more rain to the already saturated region.

A flood warning is in place for parts of Morris, Passaic and Bergen counties until later this evening.
