MANASQUAN - Heavy rain and strong winds are expected to leave the already Sandy-devastated Jersey Shore even worse.

National Weather Service expects there to be beach erosion as wind gusts up to nearly 50 mph hit the Shore.

It wasn't cold enough in the shore area during the day for snow, but snow will hit as temperatures drop into the evening.

Several inches are expected in the Shore area, with northern Monmouth County likely getting the most accumulation.
