EDISON - Winter got off to a wet and windy start in New Jersey, causing power outages and road flooding.
Jersey Central Power & Light is reporting just under 3,000 customers are still without power, that's down from the more than 13,000 customers who were without electricity earlier, mainly in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
JCP&L says it expects to have the remaining customers turned back on by midnight.
PSE&G says that roughly 1,900 customers remain without power from today's wind and rain storm. That's down from the 12,000 customers reported earlier.
PSE&G crews will continue to work throughout the night to restore power.
