HOBOKEN - High winds and heavy rain are buffeting the state, with some wind gusts reaching 60 mph.

Newark Liberty International Airport departure delays are averaging nearly four hours behind schedule. Passengers are advised to check with their airline to determine if their flight is affected.

Several road closures have also been reported as a result of flooding, according to the state Department of Transportation's traffic website.

A high wind warning is in place for most of New Jersey from 2 p.m. until midnight. The winds could bring down tree limbs and cause power outages.
