State Police trooper involved in 3-car crash in Budd Lake

BUDD LAKE - A New Jersey State Police trooper has been taken to the hospital after a three-car crash in Morris County this morning.

Authorities shut down Route 46 in Budd Lake near Manor House Road while crews worked to clear the crash.

State police officials say the trooper's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The trooper was taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital.

One female was trapped in one of the vehicles involved. She was also taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.

Officials say the state police fatal accident team was sent to the scene to join the investigation because a patrol car was involved in a crash that caused serious injuries.
