State police issue Silver Alert for Howell man

HOWELL - A Silver Alert has been issued by New Jersey State Police for a 90-year-old Howell man, last seen Friday morning.

Officials say Americo "Rick" Penna was last seen getting into his 2010 black Nissan Sentra, with the license plate VYP71Z.

According to police, Penna was advised by his doctor to go home and contact his daughter to take him to the hospital for a leg infection. They say he never returned home after the appointment.

Penna is in the early stages of Dementia and has limited walking ability. He is 5 feet 10 inches weighs approximately 180 to 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a tan striped button-down shirt and white sneakers.
