State Legislature votes while Christie is out of state

TRENTON - New Jersey Legislature got back to work today, as Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) is out of state. The state senate voted on a number of bills, none of which are expected to make Christie happy.

Many different topics were covered, including tax cuts for cosmetic surgery and green job stimulation. One of the governor's favorite topics, New Jersey's ethics laws, was not discussed.

Senators unanimously passed a law that tightens bail restrictions for people charged with breaking domestic violence restraining orders. The bill now goes to the Christie's desk.

The senate and assembly aren't scheduled to meet again for weeks.
