State accuses Roxbury landfill owners of fraud, creating a nuisance in new lawsuit

The Christie Administration has filed a lawsuit against the owners of the Fenimore Landfill in Roxbury in the ongoing legal battle over the site.

ROXBURY - The Christie Administration has filed a lawsuit against the owners of the Fenimore Landfill in Roxbury in the ongoing legal battle over the site.

The state accuses the owners of defrauding the Department of Environmental Protection, misusing over $1 million in tipping fees, and creating a public nuisance.

State officials are also reportedly planning to bring in new equipment to the landfill to try and stop a stench coming from the site.
