SEASIDE HEIGHTS - The Star Jet roller coaster will soon be taken out of the Atlantic Ocean nearly four months after it was sucked out to sea.

The owners of Casino Pier in Seaside Heights have contracted a company to have it removed.

Mayor Akers says the removal points to progress the Jersey Shore town really needs.

The removal process is expected to begin within the next 10 days.
