STAFFORD TOWNSHIP - A community in Ocean County is rallying to help four children removed from an allegedly dangerous and abusive home.

Their parents, Ian Schwester and Christina Bicki, are accused of using and selling heroin from their home in Stafford Township.

Authorities say the kids were living in squalor.

Stafford police and PBA Local 297 started a collection for the children and have received more than $1,000 in gift cards to buy new clothes and toys for the kids.

"It's more of a common decency, human decency in that we see people that are in need, people in crisis," says Capt. Thomas Dellane. "We feel it's an obligation as members of the community to give back and take care of our own."
