Springsteen brings 'Wrecking Ball' to the Meadowlands

The Boss has returned to his home state and concertgoers were excited to see him play selections from his "Wrecking Ball" tour at the Izod

EAST RUTHERFORD - The Boss has returned to his home state and concertgoers were excited to see him play selections from his "Wrecking Ball" tour at the Izod Center.

The Boss didn't take the stage until after 8 p.m. but fans began showing up for tailgating parties when the gates opened at 11 a.m.

The song 'Wrecking Ball' is based on the deconstruction of Giants Stadium and the building of the new MetLife stadium at the Meadowlands.

This is the first time Springsteen and the E Street Band have performed in New Jersey since the death of longtime band member Clarence Clemons.
