PARAMUS - Sporting goods stores are reporting a decline in sales of Alex Rodriguez's No. 13 Yankees jersey in the wake of the slugger's 211-game suspension.

A store manager at Modell's in Paramus says they might pull A-Rod jerseys all together.

Scott Zymet, a former Paramus baseball coach, says he won't root for the third baseman and doesn't think many fans will be buying his jersey.

"He's not a nice guy," Zymet says. "He's bad for the game of baseball, and hopefully the suspension holds up for him."

Rodriguez was suspended for his involvement with a steroid-linked clinic. He will continue to play pending his appeal.
