Speeding enforcement campaign begins in Hudson County (4/12/16)

NORTH BERGEN - Several police departments across Hudson County are taking part in a speeding enforcement campaign.

Authorities say "Operation Slow Down, Save Lives" began Tuesday and will continue through the summer months.

Specific enforcement will take place along Kennedy Boulevard from Bayonne at the southernmost point and continue northward, concluding in North Bergen. Authorities will also look at laws concerning pedestrian safety.

The campaign comes after two teens were killed last month by a car that jumped a curb in North Bergen.
