SOUTH BRUNSWICK - The South Brunswick Food Pantry is in need of donations to keep itself afloat.
The facility's shelves are dwindling, and the rising community demand is only making the situation worse. Carol Mazzarella, who helps run the pantry, says people who are unemployed or who rely on food stamps rely on the pantry for everyday needs.
The pantry currently serves a record-high 88 families per month.
Donations typically slow down during the summer, and volunteers say they hope school and holiday drives will help matters.
