MANVILLE - The central New Jersey counties were hit hard by the latest blast of winter, closing many schools and businesses.
Heavy, wet snow started to fall across much of the state by late this morning, and continued into the evening.
As much as 10 inches of snow fell in parts of New Jersey, with the highest amounts across the middle of the state and less in the northernmost and southernmost counties.
Speed restrictions remain in place on the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway and area bridges.
NJ Transit says is cross-honoring tickets systemwide and honoring Super Bowl passes through at least Tuesday. The agency says travelers can expect some delays due to the weather conditions.
