PATERSON - A billboard proclaiming God is a myth is expected to be erected near the Islamic Center of Passaic County in Paterson on Monday.

The billboard, features both English and Arabic writing.

A second billboard is expected to be erected in the heavily Orthodox Jewish section of Brooklyn that features Hebrew text.

"I believe the location that they chose, putting one in downtown Paterson for the Muslim community, geared toward the Muslim community and one in Brooklyn geared toward the Jewish community may be a little inciteful on their part," says Nadia Kahf, New Jersey Chairperson of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

The director of the American Atheist group, David Sliverman, says the billboards are not meant to offend, but rather offer comfort to atheists living within the communities.
