EDISON - Some Israeli firefighters who battled what is being called the worst fire in the nation's history can credit the Garden State.
In September of last year News 12 New Jersey introduced you to 13 Israelis who came to Bergen County's fire training academy. The men were here as part of an exchange program through the UJA of Northern New Jersey.
Local firefighters say they have been very concerned about the Israeli firefighters' safety while they were battling the blaze.
Israeli police also arrested a 14-year-old boy today, who they believe may have set that fire by accident, while smoking a water pipe.
