Some districts left out of construction plan

EDISON - Ten schools were chosen as "priorities" statewide by Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) and the School Development Authority (SDA) to receive funding for construction.

For the 10 schools selected, it means that construction will finally get under way. The list includes two schools in Paterson, where parents that News 12 New Jersey spoke with say they are looking forward to the rebuilding.

Phillipsburg is among the state's poorest school districts and is not on Christie's list to receive construction funding. The high school ran out of space 15 years ago. Half of the classes for the 1,600 students are held in trailers.
