Soldier who grew up in NJ killed in Afghanistan

TRENTON - (AP) - A soldier who grew up in New Jersey hasbeen killed in combat in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense said 26-year-old Sgt. Keith Buzinskidied April 7 of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unitwith small arms fire in Logar Province.

The Times of Trenton reports that Buzinski was born in Trentonand grew up in Hamilton Township before moving with his family toDaytona Beach, Fla., several years ago.

Buzinski was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 30th InfantryRegiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division,home-based at Fort Drum, N.Y.

He joined the Army in August 2006 and deployed to Afghanistan inOctober 2010. He previously served a 14-month tour in Iraq.

Survivors include his wife, two children, a sister and hisparents.
