FORDS - Big snow means good news for anyone in the snow business.

Fords Lawnmower in Middlesex County has been busy helping people prepare for the wintry onslaught.

Owner Ted Wyrwa says they're not only selling a lot of salt and snowthrowers, but employees have also been making a lot of repairs on blowers left unused over the summer.

"I would say 95 percent of your problems with snowblowers is people leave old gas in it," Wyrwa says. "Today's fuel with the 10 percent ethanol in it really takes a toll on these little machines."

Wyrwa says gas can go bad in as little as 30 days. He suggests you use a gas stabilizer and run your machine completely dry at the end of the season.
