WAYNE - Spring was off to a snowy and icy start in northern New Jersey this morning.

A storm moved across the area leaving most parts with 1-3 inches of accumulation by noon. Some northwestern areas in higher elevations saw more than 4 inches.

Several accidents were also reported along roadways in that corner of the state as drivers headed out to begin their work week. Many say they are confused by the chilly weather after enjoying 70-degree temperatures on Friday.
