NEWARK - The impending blizzard postponed the sentencings of the two defendants in the Bridge-Gate lane-closing scandal.

Bridget Kelly and Bill Baroni were scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday, but the court announced Monday that sentencing will be postponed until March 29.

Kelly was Gov. Chris Christie's deputy chief of staff in 2013. Baroni was a top Christie appointee to the Port Authority.

They were convicted in November of causing traffic jams near the bridge, allegedly to retaliate against the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee who didn't endorse Christie, a Republican. Both have appealed.

They face maximum combined sentences of decades in prison but are expected to receive far less time.

A third person, ex-Port Authority official David Wildstein, pleaded guilty in the case.

The Associated Press wire services contributed to this report.
