Snow cleanup in lull of storm varies between towns
NEWARK - Some towns did a better job than others clearing snow in the lull between storms Thursday.
Slush and rain caused messy driving conditions in North Arlington Thursday night. Though the rain helped to melt the first batch of snow, it also brought new challenges. With so many sewer drains covered in ice, water pooled in parking lots and highways.
Road conditions in the lull between storms were relatively good in Union, Bergen and Hudson counties.
However, in Passaic County, many cars were buried and left behind in the downtown municipal lot.
