JERSEY CITY - Dozens of city merchants looking to rebuild their businesses after Sandy received sound advice today from the Small Business Administration and FEMA.

Mike Wilson, who runs Grove Street Bicycles in Jersey City, was on hand for today's meeting. He says his company's computers, tools, and dozens of bikes were destroyed when sewer lines back-flowed into his company's basement.

Wilson says it will take thousands of dollars to repair.

FEMA can reimburse small business owners for what insurance won't cover, while the SBA can give low interest loans to help cover payroll and repair damage.

The first step for small business owners to receive this assistance is to file a claim with their insurance company.
